Titre : | Exploratory mapping of intermediary organisations : Supporting performing arts circulation in Europe | Type de document : | texte imprimé | Auteurs : | Cristina Farinha, Auteur | Editeur : | SPACE (Supporting Performing Arts Circulation in Europe) | Année de publication : | 2011 | Importance : | 92 p | Langues : | Anglais | Catégories : | Art de la scène ; Etude ; Europe
| Index. décimale : | E.01.2. Analyse des secteurs et/ou des domaines artistiques | Note de contenu : | The decision to proceed for a research instead of a seminar, as originally planned in the project, was taken after having taken in consideration the consistent lack of information about the “intermediary organisations”. It was clearly not full of sense to start any policy or seminar, as the information about this section of the performing arts was so weak. It had much more sense to study and initiate a research, the first one ever made at this time on this kind of organisations. SPACE asked Cristina Farinha, researcher involved in the mobility matters also through her work for On The Move, to make a research extended to all European countries, in order to start both a mapping of active or potential intermediary organisations and a list of the actions and policies adopted by them. The research is meant as a first step that will have to be implemented in the future, by the same SPACE platform or other researchers and institutions.
We identified three different steps of the research: the first one addressed to the ten SPACE organisations, in order to deepen the tools adopted for international promotion of individuals or performances: the second step has been the identification, on European level, of all those organisations that have missions or run activities that can be recognized as “intermediary”. The third step was a deeper research in the situation of four countries, as good samples of diversity: Finland, Poland, Slovenia and Spain. |
